Sad Figure

Directed by: Calebe Lopes

Maria is the daughter of an evangelical pastor with many secrets. One night, father and daughter begin to be followed by a strange hooded figure. Selected for more than 30 festivals in Brazil and around the world, the film won seven awards, including Best Actor at the 5th FICC for Carlos Betão and Best Original Score at the 4th FECEA. One of the film’s locations was a movie theater transformed into an evangelical church, giving the worship scenes a theatrical look.
