The purpose of Mostra Lugar de Mulher é no Cinema is to ensure the right to public policies that expand access to cultural production and distribution, with the broader goal of building an equal and democratic culture for individuals within the female spectrum.

The “Nosso Cinema” project is a multimedia program that conducted data research on active women film directors from Salvador, with the aim of creating a mapping, profile, and filmography of these filmmakers. Interviews were conducted and published on YouTube and Spotify. Instagram posts featuring these profiles were also published, creating a page where the public can access and search for the mapped filmmakers. Therefore, we believe in the importance of the project in increasing the visibility of active women filmmakers, both within the industry and by affirming their presence, establishing their place of belonging within the film community, and leaving future generations the names of those who have made their presence felt in Salvador’s cinema.
